R-10 Rotary Actuators

Overview

The R-10 Rotary Actuators were designed for fatigue testing wherever high torque output with restricted rotational travel is required. The R-10 has a total rotational travel of 100 degrees (+/- 50 degrees).

One of the features of the R-10 is that it incorporates hydrostatic bearings that eliminate mechanical wear caused by side or thrust loads – thus ensuring longer life.

The R-10 Rotary Actuators have an output flange that is attached to the one-piece design rotor with a locking taper to ensure zero backlash whenever torque reversal occurs. The R-10 uses a “precision fit” vane type construction that does not depend on internal seals.

The R-10 is a heavy-duty, robust, fatigue rated actuator that finds many applications in the automotive industry such as testing couplings, dampers, driveshafts axles and material testing.
